Units Scale
  • 1/4 cup (2.5oz) Concord grape jelly
  • 46 slices of butter (salted or unsalted)
  • 6 store-bought croissants
  • 4 soft-boiled eggs, sliced in half
  • 810 slices of cooked, crispy bacon
  • 810 strawberries, sliced in half
  • 1 orange, sliced in wedges
  • About a pinch or so of freshly ground pepper from whole peppercorns

Step one: slice some butter (I had about 5 slices) and place them in a small bowl. Spoon some jelly into the other bowl. Set both of the bowls next to each other in the center of the board.

Step two: Stack three croissants in one corner of your platter and the other three in the opposite corner so that they mirror each other.

Step three: Carefully place your soft-boiled eggs on opposite sides of the platter. Repeat for the crispy bacon, placing a few slices between the eggs and croissants on each side.

Step four: Fill in the remaining empty spaces with the fruits. Tuck your sliced oranges in one corner and the strawberries in the opposite corner. Finish the eggs with a sprinkling of the freshly crushed ground peppercorns.

This board can be left out for up to 2 hours. Transfer any leftovers to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
